I’m looking to get a ball park bore diameter on the R92 in 45 Colt. I have Colt SAA that has
454 throats and a 4525 bore. Trying to figure out if I want the Rossi as a sidekick!

Hmmm, I've never slugged the bore on mine, I should do that. I'll try to get that done soon, so I can comment on mine.
Old Savage, what diameter of bullets do you shoot out of yours? Seems like a 452 diameter would have poor accuracy?

You're so much more scientific than me.... I'd just have bought the extra gun, rationalizing it as "same caliber and therefore vital to have", then only later realized if it was not the match I claimed. (however since the diameter thing, or whatever else I claimed, was really just an excuse - it did accomplish my goal, which was to have a 'reason' to buy another levergun...)

Re: Rossi 45 Colt bore
Well, I should have done this a long time ago. The 45 Colt I have is a 20" and says Braziltech made by Taurus. I've had it for around 15 years, but I don't remember where I bought it or if it was new or used----I should keep records.
Anyway, I slugged it last night and the bore is very close to .451. Some measurements around .450, others just over .451.
I slugged it twice and both slugs measured roughly the same.
My wife has a newer Rossi 45, I'll have to slug it also.

That is good. Mine requires oversize or long bullets to shoot its best.
Re: Rossi 45 Colt bore
I had a couple of R92s in 45 Colt over the years, one each in 16 and 20 inch. Both shot Hornady XTPs well and both shot best with the Lee 255 grain RNFP sized 0.454".
