Too blessed, or a senior moment

Post by High Desert Hunter »

So after the discussion with Levergunner concerning his 44 caliber Ranch Dog mould and the function through his 1894. So I saw NOE has this catalogged, added it to the cart, then the equivalent of a squirrel showed up, and I found myself on another lever action forum for Marlin 1894s. So while there I see I posted about a new mould for my Marlin Classic, well lo and behold, I already own the mould. Talk about divine intervention! Now I need to cast up a bunch for a side by side comparison with the NOE mould I received last Wednesday. Blessed to have enough that I from time to time forget what I have. Or I may have a problem, you decide.

I suspect a good many of us are cursed with that affliction. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yep. Told Household Six that I needed a new 9mm bullet mold. Got to looking at my other molds and realized I already had the one I was about to order!

Ran some of the Ranch Dog bullets through the Marlin today to check how they feed. Pretty slick and accuracy was good, will tweak this load of AA 11FS to see if I can tighten it up a little.

CRS (the medical acronym for cain't remember squat) can attack anyone at any time. It does seem to become a bit more progressive and prevalent beyond one's mid 30's. The more diligent you are to carefully store personal items and tools, the more you will be able to explore this phenomena. We wish you luck in your explorations studies.

.
The other 'ingredient' in the formula that helps is being a bit of a hoarder...

So:

- interested in gun stuff
- able to afford getting lots of gun stuff
- tending to get lots of stuff 'just because', rather than due to any major 'need'
- busy enough (probably working to get the money for above) to set stuff aside and forget about it

End result:

- you have the fun of periodically 'finding' stuff you forgot you had... 8)
