Not in the market at the moment myself, but I've heard sometimes good stuff comes along at good prices.

As a former LEO.....most turn in firearms just have holster wear. Most agencies qualify quarterly so they get shot very little, unless they're SWAT weapons. Shotguns are even a better buy. I saw Atlanta Firearms have several Remingtons. May pick up another 870!

Bought this "trade in" (g22 gen 3, 40 S&W) several yrs ago. looked new. Shown here with Advantage Arms 22 conversion (40 S&W top unit and mag in middle) and my vintage K22. The older I get, the more I shoot 22s. Also have KKM 9mm/40 conversion bbl and 9mm glock mags (100% reliable function so far).

I wasn't aware of that website, thanks for sharing. I used to keep an eye on summitgunbroker.com, bought several guns off him. He was great to do business with. He bought police trade ins, as well as some of their confiscated arms. I am not sure if the current website is owned by the same person, but I do not think so.

The business got sold. It used to be just north of me in Lee's Summit, MO. The new owner has moved it to Ohio.

I got a police trade-in 870 from gunjoker. Stiffest action I ever saw on a pump gun. Action bars were dinged up and twisted, etc.

I like to think that some backwoods deputy hammered a couple of cases of three inch double-ought through it. :D

It's working better now, mostly from the proverbial "poor man's action job". :D

Thanks. I did business with the original owner, and he seemed to be a great guy.

AIM Surplus here in southwest OH has these and more (you can look up their website) Smifs, Glocks, Berettas, Jerichos(!) and more. Better prices too.

We're in a golden age of police trade-ins.

Back in '86 a young guy just out of the USAF bought an interesting new polymer handgun, a Glock 17. Worked out, thousands of rounds, was a duty carry gun a number of years.

Back then price was $375. Couple months ago bought a LEO trade-in from AIM, Glock 17 3gen. $350. Heckuva difference in buying power between those 1986 and 2024 dollars!

Got a couple .40 Glocks from AIM too, even a Israeli police trade-in Browning Hi Power.

They're killin' my budget.

Great outfit! I've bought a lot of stuff from them over the years. Always pleased.

Current inventory of Police trades that I have is:
Colt Official Police, marked LPD from Lorain, OH (was my grandfather's).
Police Positive Special. RHKP
S&W Model 10 RHKP and one of my favorites.
S&W 4006 CHP / .40 S&W and a blast to shoot.
Glock 23 but no property marks.
Rem. 870 from the Delaware PD.
I have a Ruger Speed Six in .357 that
was part of a contract over run, but for what dept. / agency no one seems to know.
I know I'm forgetting something.

Dang it guys -- I went over to that AIM Surplus site and before I escaped I had ordered a Smith and a couple Glocks for less than I had been going to spend on a Sig. Never owned either one before and am mostly a revolver guy but seems like these might be good to have stashed around. Been pickin' up 40S&W brass for years without having anything to shoot it in, so these purchases will be put to use.
