Re: 21 Sharp
I had great hopes for the last NEW rimfire, can't even recall what it was called, made on the 27 caliber power shot for industrial tools. Anyhow I never saw any write-ups praising it. I can't see this one doing much better.
The 17 mach II was a good one but it died.

Hard no. I am old enough (barely) to remember the 5 mm Remington Magnum.

Re: 21 Sharp
The concept makes good sense. But the primary attraction of 22 rimfire for me is cheap shootin' at 50 yards and under to keep the grandkids entertained and educated. When the 21 Sharp gets popular enough for the ammo to compete in price with the 22's I get in bulk at the local Bi-Mart store, well I would be a potential buyer of a rifle. Especially if they do it in a nice lever-action. Or pump.
I'm afraid Winchester's good idea is just 100 years too late. And if I'm wrong I've got some great-grandkids who I can fix up with new super-dooper accurate rifles to show I don't hold a grudge-

Oh, sure. Just rebarrel your .22.
Now if they wanted to re-introduce the .25 Stevens with an available non-toxic load for Kalifornia, I'd be very interested.

I always wanted a Remington Model 591 ! Coulda bought several in later years at decent prices but the ammo was priced past premium and it was before Centurian started loading the stuff .Gunstore Commando wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 9:23 pm Hard no. Re: 21 Sharp
I have a 592. I pull the bullets from the Aguila Centurion 5mm ammo and swap the powder and bullets (Barnes VG). I re-crimp with a 204 Ruger FCD using a special shell holder. I'm going to do more work this year and see if I can reach 2900fps with the 26 grain Barnes VG's. I also have a Canjar single set trigger on it meant for a Remington 581. It doesn't fit in the trigger guard (took it off) but it's sure breaks nice.6pt-sika wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 7:48 amI always wanted a Remington Model 591 ! Re: 21 Sharp
Dimensionally, I wonder how it compares with the .22 Winchester Automatic cartridge? Would it function in the 1903 Winchester semi-auto rifle?
