Yup uses a paper cartridge with a felt wad attached on the rear of the cartridge.Something like the monkey tail Westley Richards cartridge.Basically when fired the greased wad is forced through the bore by the second round greases and helps keep fouling down.Plus the wad helps seal the bore

Oh I suspect if I were to purchase something like that sure I’d play with it on paper but I’d also kill a deer with it before all was said and done .
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !

I would have to take it out hunting as well.J.E.B. Stuart carried a one of these but his was a single barrelled carbine
