At last I'm rich

Post by jeepnik »

Yep, just received the email that Mr. Kent Williams of the United Bank of Africa has a large sum being held in my name. Of course, he does want a "small" security deposit and transaction fee.

I responded and ask that he just take those out of the funds and forward a cashier's check for the remainder to my P.O. box. Wonder when my ship will come in?

Yeah, and the Craigslist scum who want to pay more than you asked for an item and then schedule a "pickup" by their picker at a later date. Let me know your bank routing code and account number and the deposit will be made very quickly ...

Oh ... I thought maybe you had come into a large stash of Trail Boss or Large Rifle primers.

.
I had a former business partner when I got a letter like that so I put a copy on his desk while he was on vacation for a week and wrote a note on it that said as a gift to him I went ahead and gave the princess of Nigeria is banking information because she promised she was going to send a million and a half dollars to him. I asked only that he gave me 10% of it.

That's much better than my camera buying excursion to Japan in the 1970's... I took out a loan for $2,000 and when converted it was only 600,000¥, but bought a boat load of Nikon gear. Then F&^%$#@ing thieves broke into my apartment while I attended classes 4 months after my separation from active duty... Luckily they didn't find two of my guns, nor the silver flatware, serving set & utensils.
