I made it to The Whittington Center this morning.

Post by JimT »

I drove 10 hours on Saturday but had a nice short run of around 2 hours today. Met Glen Fryxell and Phil Shoemaker when I got in. There will be a bunch piling in here tonight and tomorrow.

I’m headed that way in the morning. Be there Tuesday.

I’m really looking forward to seeing some old friends and getting to know some new ones.

Jim, would that be Phil Shoemaker the Alaska moose and bear guide?
If you have not made the side trip down through Cimarron to the Philmont Scout Ranch, it is worth your time just to see the Ernest Thomspon Seton stuff at the museum. Get chow at the St. James Hotel and count the bullet holes in the tin ceiling. 8) Extra time, run down to Rayado and Kit's cabin.

Glen Fryxell is a gold mine of casting information and I have adopted a number of casting and lubing techniques from him.

You need whiskey for your men and beer for the horses! -

My daughter and her husband arrived this afternoon. We had HEAVY rains with hail this morning. Whittington recorded 4 1/2 inches of rain in one hour. This afternoon was nice.
