Been doing some ammo scrounging recently and was surprised at what has turned up. I've found .358 Win, .35 Rem, .280 Rem, .45 Colt small primer. Then I stop at my #1 lgs and find 4 CASES of .40-65 cowboy ammo. Never seen a single box in my life. I know I live under a rock, but does anyone else find this unusual? It is awesome to see.

I was looking through Midway's selection of bullet molds tonight and was amazed not only that lots of molds are available again but also that some prices have come back down.

Hmm, I have a siamese Mauser action , just need to scrounge up a bolt, bottom metal and a barrel!

Our local farm store usually has a pretty good selection of basic firearms and ammunition but about a year ago had a bunch of 38 Super. I asked the guy at the counter and he said it was an ordering mistake.
Another gun shop had a bunch of 22 TCM come in that they had ordered by mistake. The good news for me was that I had such a firearm so bought it at a good price.
I currently know of a shop with a bunch of 50 Beowulf on hand that nobody is buying so I may pay them a visit at some point.

Never thought much about the .45-60, but... the .40-65 does something... Maybe it's the guns they're chambered in!
