Another ROA turns up

Post by Oldncrusty »

I read with interest Jason's post a couple weeks ago on his ROA. I had always "kinda" wanted one, but then saw the online prices. Ouch. Two days later I stop in a LPS, and here lies this thing. Talked him down to $650 otd. Picked it up today, and swung by my gunsmith to take it apart. He thinks it might be unfired. 1979 model. Another expensive hobby! Yee ha.

Cool!

I think I've got all my BP stuff together, need to make time to get out and shoot it. It's been a busy month, work wise. Should catch a break before too long.

All these posts about the Ruger Old Army has made me realize I haven't had mine out in a along time. Going to have to fix that.

I have one from Howell. I also got an e-mail today from Kirst advertising them, so I know they make them too.

I bought a Howell ,45 ACP cylinder and a quick change base bin from Belt Mountain for mine. What a blast! Still need to order the ,45 Colt.
