I've had two of those little Colts. One with fixed sights and one with the adjustable sights. They are sweet little guns. As durable as the Ruger Super Single-Six is, they are crude compared to these Colts.
Some day I'll get me another one.
In the mean time, taxes or not, you should do what you can to snag on to this one.

Casaxxxxxx,
I too live in Pa. and like you, my taxes just came in. You get a .2% discount if you pay by Aug 31. My advice is to heck with the taxes and pay the face amount due on Oct. 31. Or for that matter, the penalty up to April, 2009.
The way I see it, is EVERY year, the tax bill comes in, but its not every year a nice Colt comes your way. When you are old and gray, you will not feel "all good about yourself" for paying your taxes,----you will "dispise yourself" for letting that Colt slip by ---------Life is short--play hard------------------------------Sixgun

I hear yea Six
unfortunately I am the type of guy that as soon as a bill hits
the mail box, the check is in the mail the next day.
Needless to say that check for about $2,400 went out two
days ago. The checking account is real weak and fragile
at the moment.
beautiful pistol. I just picked one up a while back. havent shot it yet. As for the Pa taxes, I pay them in my mortgage payment each month, don't have to worry about it then.

That was the one nice benefit of the monthly mortgage.
I no longer have a mortgage (thank God )
I should be putting some back every month instead of
getting blind sided every yr. at this time.
There was one of these at a local flea market/antique store a while back for $550. It appeared NIB, with both cylinders. I almost bought it but the balance in the checkbook was dangerously low. I wonder if it's still there, of course the checkbook ain't in no better shape now either.
