I showed my wife and son the story, and then told my son I fully expect that in the unlikely chance anything this INCREDIBLY STUPID ever happened to him that he would tell the teacher exactly where to shove the prayer matt. Well this kind of falls into the same catogory for me as bullying. I tell both of my sons that they do not have to put up with a bully for fear of being expelled if they fight back. I tell them to just be smart and punch the fool when the staff can't see - preferable where it won't leave a mark... and if they get caught, I will support them.

My oldest one did just that several years ago - and the BS stopped. Seems the little gangsters only like to pick on kids that don't punch them in the stomach. My youngest son hit his growth spert earlier and doesn't have any trouble that I know of...

I do not agree with current school policy of punishing students who are defending themselves.

Nothing in this whole wide world would give me more pleasure than to spend the rest of my life in the USA. Sorry to say it, and no offense intended to Gamekeeper, but stuff like this, added on to the anti-knife laws, and the anti-gun, anti-hunting sentiments expressed by both the British government, and a majority of Britons is a sure indication that not only has the Empire fallen, but that Britain itself is falling apart.
