Browning 1886 SRC Made It â€“ Thanks DennisB!

Dennis is a great guy to deal with, it sure is nice dealing with friends from this forum.
The Browning is a fantastic quality reproduction of the Winchester, at least compared to my model 71.
I told Dennis that I have to quite buying rifles in such good shape, Iâ€™m starting to feel guilty shooting them.

Very nice, congratulations. Cabela's here in Ft Worth has one, appears to be NIB, for $1299.

As a lover of big bore lever guns, it's tempting, but not at $1299.

Just wait until you get a Foolproof on her!

That 5-shot group in the 10 ring was shot at 100 yards (the rest are sighters or other loads).

I was just hoping you would have written more! Not much info out there.

I am trying to find a PDF manual or if someone could copy one for me?
Do thay disassemble like a Model 92?

Nice rifle. Your's and mine could be bookend's! Are you installing a receiver sight? SteveB had a lot of info on his website about the 1886 he was doing. Good luck.

If you go to the Browning site you can order the manual for free. They send you a photocopy. I got mine.

Prices (asking) at gun shows (the only place you can find one but, it seems you can always find one) are now up to $1199.

I don't have a manual but I have some diagrams:

I believe the Browning has some extra gizmos in there, not sure if it's exactly the same as the Winchesters, but it definately has a higher parts count than the 1892s..,

Thanks Grizz, I found one with the Browning part numbers too. Looks like the firing pin has been lawyered up!

I have not decided yet, have you? Pictures?

I'll try the stock ladder sight, what problems have you guys had with the ladder sight other than the very fine sight picture?
Also do you have a link to SteveB web site?
