Found this original 45-75 ammo box on e-bay.

I thought Winchester's instructions for reloading the 45-75 are interesting. Check the pics for the label with the reloading directions.

Interesting instructions.

16-1 Lead tin, very hot mould and alloy, lube with Japan wax or tallow.

What is Japan wax???

The biggest suprise for Me in the reloading instructions is that "FG" powder is reccomended, don't know ,but seems the loads I have seen used FFG. Jim.

Not certain I remember the details but I don't believe their Fg had the same kernal size as our Fg.
