You have my pity.
Now I'll grab my snow shovel and clean up after a proper snowfall.

My grandmother grew up on the Canadian in Hutchinson County. She used to talk about the "Blue Northers" they would get in the Panhandle.
It CAN happen in Texas.
I had to be in El Paso yesterday and passing by one of the high schools along the Patriot Highway I saw a bunch of kids standing around on the football field and its inch of snow -- seemingly bewildered!

In the late 50s, my Mother was babysitting for a family in Liberal, Kansas, and a snowstorm hit. She couldn't get out until someone dug down from the roof of the house so that they could open a door. The parents couldn't get in for 3 days.

We got about 2" of snow overnight , right now it's 33* and raining. if the ice builds up long enough things will really get exciting . .

I've lived in the Rockies for 30 years but the worst blizzard I ever saw was in Dumas, TX. In 83/84. The wind blows something fierce.

I won't speak for Jim, but to me, it's fairly representative of Austin's need for snow removal. Likewise, even up here in the DFW Area, a guy couldn't survive if he relied on snow removal from commercial businesses...Sixgun Sr wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 7:02 pmWhat the heck is this????? Is this some kind of a sick joke against the city of Austin? it even has chains on the back.
Well, I ought to shut up...first time we have had virtually no snow.....point .3" nuttin.....don't even need a shovel....we still have another 6 weeks of potential...dunno.

I grew up in Texas. ANY snow at all was a pretty exciting event!

A chiropractor friend in Lubbock said they had declared a snow day at their office.
