The stainless is rocking a set of curly maple

That curly maple goes great with stainless!
I fit a brass frame on my Blackhawk 41 and used cocobolo grips.

IMO, it looks a bit like Holly, with the color of aged Ivory - nice !

Ive had the blanks for 8 or 9 years. The wood is protected now and cant be imported

The maple goes very well with stainless -- better than with blued in my opinion. Nice!

They sure look good, how heavy or dense is that wood? Why is it protected now. Todd/3leg

From what i read the trees have become over harvested.
Id put it on par with osage. But it doesnt fade or darken like osage.
