Our daughter is in Alaska today!!

My daughter and her husband flew out of Little Rock and had a stop over in Anchorage today. She works for Samaritan's Purse as a volunteer cook, they are flying into Togiak. They will be there about six weeks or until the weather runs them out. They will be feeding about 25 workers doing a new church there I think.
Anyone know about that area???

I just Googled Togiak, seems like a wonderful area for wildlife, did they take fishing rods?

gamekeeper, didn't take any tackle but they will be eating plenty of fish and fresh meat.

Maybe Doc Cable might know about that area.

It would be heaven to find a cheap fisherman's motel, and just catch and release for a few weeks.

I flew out of Dillingham AK for 3 years and have made many trips to Togiak. There is very little there. Haven't stayed there for almost 20 years, but back then there was no motel. If you got weathered in you had to stay in the old water tower they converted to living quarters. I doubt there is much more there now. One store, a runway and some houses, nothing else. Pretty area with some good fishing depending on the time of year. I wish her the very best of luck and hope she has a good stay there. There are some good people out there as long as they have not been drinking.
