Ruger Canadian SBR in 30-06

Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

I'm a little biased since I have one, but the GunSite Scout is WAY more practical, and not so dang ugly, AND holds 10, not five.

I think I like my Gunsite Scout better also. Great little rifle and surprisingly accurate.
Not sure why they went with 30-06 instead of .308, can't see any advantage to the 30-06 in a 14.5" barrel. Plus a modern military round would make sense.
I kind of like the orange camo stock though. Hunters in this state have to wear blaze orange, why not a blaze orange rifle. Lots easier to find if you lean it against a tree and wander off than a Realtree camo one. :D

Several years ago an acquaintance, a heavy drinker, went muzzleloader pronghorn hunting. Got plastered in the process, wandered about in the sagebrush until he finally passed out. Never did find his rifle, still out there somewhere.

I think the Danish Gevaer M/53 or as we know it the P-17 would be a better rifle and is used presently by the Danish Sirius sled patrol in Greenland for polar bears. If there was a better arctic rifle they would be using it. danny

I like it. Though why 30-06 is puzzling, unless they use them now in something else and have stocks of ammo already.

I guess if the stock were commercially available we'd have seen more of them by now, it's several years old now.
