Looks nice from a distance. I'd want to look at it real close before handing over a big wad of cash for a Remlin.

IIRC, the production run of the 1895LE is 1500 units.
Me neither................. If I bought one, the first thing I'd would be to extend the checkering to disappear the solid Win Featherweight-type ribbon that runs through the center of the patterns.
Indeed --- price competitive with a Miroku 1886 also ----
Claybob86, I like the look of a crescent buttplate too, but for a levergun in 45/70 that might get some repeat shots (as opposed to a Sharps that you can deliberately Nestle up snugly shot to shot) -- it makes practical sense
I have seen many heavily engraved firearms (mainly through photos), loved by perhaps most firestick aficionados, that leave me a bit cold. To me, gaudy and overdone. But THIS one is just flat beautiful.
If my funds were as plentiful as the taxes and laws in my state, I'd grab one! Gorgeous. Yes, seductive.
I guess I'll be the odd man out, and say I just don't care for it. Don't like the buttstock, nor the checkering. Something just doesn't look "right" with it. I'll pass.
However I'd like it better with a half round half octagon barrel and perhaps a half magazine . I also liked the engraving on the 1895 CLTD from 1995 better with the french grey slightly different engraving and better wood . Also had a crescent buttplate .

Like teets on a bull... Not too my liking, but to each their own.
That being said $1350.00 don't sound too unreasonable for a blinged up firearm if that's what you like.
