Western theme help
I have an unusual situation here. I have in laws that live in the Netherlands that are in the process of starting a longhorn ranch. My sister-in-law, to which we now affectionately refer to each other as the Outlaws, asked me to help with finding photos that can be incorporated with a web site they want to build. I thought it would be fun to ask you folks for input. I believe she is looking for ranch, cowboy, cattle drive, long horn, western type photos. The type that automatically invoke thoughts of the old west.
Also she asked for suggestions on back ground music. Personally, nothing comes to mind faster than "Happy trails" and "Tumbling tumbleweed" but your thoughts would be much appreciated.

The theme from Rawhide.
The thing is that a song that invokes memories in the minds of the public at large isn't the same as those songs which with real westerners would identify.

Didn't Hobie have a link to a bunch of old west photos from the Library of Congress or some similar place a couple years ago?

No....no....no..None of this Drugstore/Movie/TV cowboy music. Use the real thing... like
Come along boys, listen to my tale
I tell you of my troubles of the old Chisolm Trail
Come a ti-yi-yippie-yeh-yippie yeh, come a ti-yippie yippie yeh
The Streets of Laredo also goes way back.
Some versions of the Yellow Rose of Texas also go way back
Then there is always "Brown Rosey"

Although set a little farther west than we generally think of as the Old West, the theme from Quigley, Down Under along with the suggestions above. And Rangerider7's suggestion of the Carter Museum is great.
Another great source is the Virtual Exhibits section of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
