I like the tire trick too, never thought of that either. The wood looks very straight grained with no knots and with the now on the ground frozen too. Makes splitting easy even with a regular axe. the idea is good though.
Happiness is a comfortable stump on a sunny south facing mountain.

Actually one of the things I do miss about not having my cabin in the
mountains. I always did enjoy splitting wood. Awesome workout and goodtime to think and pray.
