Paracord Help Please...

Post by cshold »

I want to try my hand at making a paracord sling.
I want to get and use the real USA made 550 military cord.
Is this what I should be looking for? 'MIL-C-540H TYPE III'
Any good suggestions as to where to get it, more than welcome.
Thanks :)

I got a 1,000' spool from supplycaptain.com. From what I can tell, theirs is up to spec. 7 inner strands plus the outer casing, and they have all kinds of colors to choose from. Their prices are also very reasonable.

Thanks so much for the awsome offer Paladin.
I haven't gotten that far into how many feet I'll need to make a sling.
I kinda got overwhelmed with all the different cord to choose from.
I do know I want to do the sling in a tan or desert camo color.

No problem the rigger shed only has green and white. All I have is spool of green.

Don't know how good this is, but this vendor on Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CLI8R1I/ref ... ZVIL&psc=1

I've been meaning to order a spool but don't have the time for any projects right now. He's got a lot of positive reviews, too many to just be shills.
