Got out early, 5am to a lovely dawn and found two fox's about a mile or more apart over three hours of scouting.
First was spotted at 200yds and got down to 40yds for the shot.
Then the second was also spotted around the 200yd mark but got down to 70 or so yards for this one.
He was busy hunting voles!

I don't reload sadly. Just thought you might have some ballistic data on what you were shooting. 158 grains at 1800 fps would be a pretty stout load in a carbine. Just curious since I recently purchased my first 357 carbine, a Ruger 77-357. The only 158 grain factory loads in my area (NY) are American Eagle jsps. Supposedly they achieve 1700 fps in a carbine, and they rank in the weaker realm of magnum loads.

Six, didn't you know? Nath has a valet take his hunting portraits!
Good hunting, Nath! Beautiful countryside, too! You are so successful hunting I'm very surprised there still is any game left for you to shoot in your neck of the woods! We sure don't have the abundant fox and other small game hunting here in NH like you have there! Thanks for sharing.
