AA #9 and .41 Mag

Post by cavemike »

I have found load data for AA #9 and 265 grain CP boolets

No.9 265 CP WFNGC(L) 12.1 1,071 13.5 1,218 38,900 1.710

What I would like to know is if I can use this data to start load developement for 255 grain boolets?

This data is from Accurate Arms online data book version 3.2

Thanks
Mike

Your numbers agree with what I have.
I see no problem with those limits for starters.

AA9 is a very fine magnum pistol powder, but please bear in mind, that it has a funky pressure curve. Everything goes fine and then the pressure spikes into the red zone. So anytme you are anywhere near max loads, go slow, use small increases and watch for pressure signs.
