1895CB tang sight
Thinking of putting a tang sight on my 1895CB. Has anyone put a vernier type sight on one? is it practical to do so? Or shoudl I stick with the Lyman/Marbles type of tang sight

I HAVE SERIOUS RESERVATIONS ABOUT PUTTING A TANG SIGHT OF ANY DESIGN ON A CARBINE OR RIFLE WITH SOME SERIOUS RECOIL. I WILL STICK TO RECEIVER SIGHTS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, AS THAT IS EXACTLY WHY THEY WERE DESIGNED AT THE TAIL END OF THE 19th CENTURY.
AS A FOR INSTANCE. IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORRNER OF THE RIGHT LENSE IN MY SPECTACLES THERE ARE A HALF DOZEN OR MORE MARKS WHERE THE TANG SIGHT ON MY WINCHESTER '94 26" 30-30 RIFLE LIGHTLY TAPPED IT DURING THE RATHER PUNY RECOIL OF THAT CLASSIC CARTRIDGE CARTRIDGE. THAT IS TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT FOR ME.
