Anothe rpost on scoping the levergun.

Post by hightime »

I'm with you fellas. Yes it's almost blasphemy, but for an all day, from just before dawn to late sunlight to hunt whitetail I need help with my eyes. I have two levers that are either side or angle eject. I have a bunch that I would never scope, but the 30-30 Model 94 Legacy is the one I'm going to scope. what scope? I've asked that question before. A leatherman would look cool, but the limited view and lack of low light capability. I have decided on and old Weaver 1 1/2 power. Mounts are coming. Here's what it will look like. Not so bad right?

I't's not blasphemy when you get to my age, it's just a way to keep hitting things you shoot at.

I know your scope is offset and mine won't be , but from the side it's a match.

The one (& probably only) advantage to the offset is the ability to also use the open sights.

The blasphemy is laying the rifle down on the bricks? That looks like a good combo to me.
