Need advice on selling a gun.

Post by Tycer »

I'm thinking of selling my last Win 94 360 Dan Wesson. I have something else I'd like to buy and I need to move some things.

So my question is do I return it to stock and list it as a .357 Mag Trapper and sell all the accessories separately or do I sell it as a package?

The accessories are the non-rebound lower tang assembly, a Williams FP, the 360 DW headstamp brass safety filler on the right and twilight aperture on the left, and the modified cartridge guides. I suppose I would include 50 DW brass in the auction.

Win 94 Trappers in .357 Mag are going for around $800 on GB

.

Since many of the great unwashed out there aren't even aware of what a .360 Wesson is, IMO you'd sell it pretty quick as a .357.

I'd suggest just switching out the .360 headstamp safety filler for one marked .357, and the guides.

One of the parts vendors @ the next funshow you attend would most likely be a good customer for the issue rebounging tang, etc.

How well does it shoot .357 and .38 as it is right now? If it handles all 3 in the family well, then I am interested.

Shoot Joe a call. He's got rounds and rounds and rounds through his. I honestly don't remember about the 38s. I shot only 357 and 360 in it for most of the time I had it.

We use 38 for close range target shooting (25 yes or less). Lose velocity but very accurate with shots often touching or in same hole. Must use chamber brush if fired a lot w/ 38s. 357 doesn't lose much velocity. Get 1700 Fps w/ 158 gr reloads, 1550 w/ 180's and neither of these are top loads. Can get 357's close to 2000 fps w/ bullet seated long and stout reload.

Just to refresh my (failing) memory...the .360 fits between the .357 Mag and Max, right?
