LCP Improvements 1
Not too long ago I had a Trijicon nite site installed on my LCP. After getting it back I shot it quite a bit off-hand and was pleased with the results.
But then...
Yesterday I noticed the front sight was not in the middle any more. Upon examination I discovered the folks who installed it cut the dove tail slot a little too generous and had literally glued the site in position and the glue failed. I took it out to my shop and dimpled the underside of the front site with a center punch to flare it a bit. I reinstalled it with a brass drift and centered by eye.
This time I took it to my bench to check where it pointed.
And this is the only five shot group I felt was necessary:
The group is 1 1/4 inches at 20 feet with a 6 o'clock hold. The holes are right where the dot is. Just what I want it to do.

Nice when just 'eyeballing' something works out so well.

I don't reload .380 either. The dies have been back-ordered for some time.

20 cows,
You paid to have a job done, and it was not done correctly?

Re: LCP Improvements 1
Yes I paid for the work. They were the only folks I'd heard of putting that kind of site on an LCP. There was even machine work involved on the underside of the site.
They spend most if their efforts making supressors and suspended site work indefinitely right after I sent mine in.
Even with the site needing "adjustment" it was worth the effort to me. I have the same site on both carry pieces, the LCP and a Kimber Compact. With a decent site the LCP is more than a belly gun.
LPC Improvement 2 will be an after market trigger.

In my advanced years I prefer the green firesight type of thing.

Re: LCP Improvements 1
I also have an LCP. Not much fun to shoot with the trigger as it came but it goes bang every time and is quite accurate for a belly gun. I don`t plan to modify mine at all and it may just end up in the safe and one of my Sp101`s may take it`s place on duty.
