Rare Bird 30 Rem. Levergun

Post by Ji in Hawaii »

Here's a rare bird for sale a Stevens model 425 lever action chambered in 30 Remington which is basically a 30/30 rimless. built between 1910 and 1917. Design looks very innovative and modern especially for that time period. War production ceased it's existence never to rise again, what a shame. Someone here please buy it. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =333589205

That is a nice looking rifle, looks like it would carry and handle real easy.

Looks kind of Marlinish. I'd love to see how it works.

I have one in 32 Remington, they shoot well & are not something that you see everyday. When you use it at the range it is always the only one there.

Surely not one you'll see in every gun rack! I'd love to handle one.

That is a dandy alright. Thanks for posting...I've never seen one, or knew they existed for that matter.
With my aging eyes, I'm not investing much in new "iron sight only" items or that might be a nice rifle for the short-range environment where I hunt.

Neat looking gun! You'd need to stock up on brass when you see it.
