Nice looking replica. Caliber is nice as well. I have two, one custom Bill Large barrel which is very accurate. One which is so-so in .58 caliber. Is it possible over your way to get different barrels if you wanted a rifled barrel. Just curious. Most of the original military Zouaves were converted into smoothbores after the war into shotguns and shipped to Africa as trade guns, don't know who did the conversions.
Cool looking rifle Nath, looks like you are in for a new toy.

They also made a 8GA model too!.......
Thats interesting GK! Can you remember how heavy the 12g version was? My .58 of years ago was quite heavy! Maybe 10#plus! Had a heavy beech stock!
Yes had a chance of an 8g but declined. I understand they are light!
Nath, I can't remember how heavy the 12GA was but it did have a 30"+ barrel and a 3/4 stock, so I cut the barrel to about 25" so it looked in keeping with the stock. It was a lot lighter than my Paker Hale 2 Band Enfield.
It accounted for a few rabbits and it took a real heavy load, I once offered a Major in the Scots Guards a go and he refused to fire it after seeing me disappear in the clouds of smoke it spewed out...
