...for them that likes .41 Magnums
I was trolling around the Ruger site, and they list a 'distributor exclusive' Ruger Super Blackhawk 'Hunter' in .41 Magnum at Davidson's...

You know, maybe it's just me, but the Hunter models just look "wrong". Can't place my finger on it, but something just doesn't sit well with me. Of course it's got the accursed laminated grips. Why oh why did some idiot start putting plywood on guns?

IMHO it needs a Bisley grip to make it right.

IMHO I'm glad to see a .41 Mag -- my best friend got into the .41 Mag back in the early 80's and hasn't looked back (3 S&W's an 1 Marlin levergun)--I always kick myself for not following him--oh well... :)
Re: ...for them that likes .41 Magnums
It's the rib on the barrel that gives it the weird look if you ask me. I like these with the Bisley grip, but otherwise I'm pretty blasé about 'em.

I agree that it "just don't look right".
I still love the .41 mag but let all mine go a few years back. Had a 58, 57, BH and Marlin all in .41 but decided to buy the Grandsons each a BLR so traded them all away. At one time I carried the 58 on duty and felt very confident in it's ability.

It may not look right to some, but the proof of a hunting gun is in the shooting, IMO. I love my short-barreled Blackhawks, but
I bet this one holds point better.
