Yep, they were having a Lon Chaney marathon on TCM. Pretty darn good.
I've seen the 1930 talkie and from what I remember it was pretty much an exact reproduction of the 1925 movie except that it has sound. Somewhat regrettably, and as is my habit, it was the first time I'd seen that version of the movie so I actually watched the movie rather than digging in for details. I don't know what they used for a firearm in the hide-out scenes.
They showed a couple of my favorites, "Laugh, Clown, Laugh" and "West of Zanzibar", but I wish they would have also shown "He Who Gets Slapped" and "Tell It To The Marines".
Chaney was a heck of an actor.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I dunno about the others, but they did show "Tell it to the Marines". I watched & enjoyed it.
