Haven't had access at home to broadcast or cable or satellite television for 23 years, and haven't really missed it.
Between a 60-65 hour/week job, livestock, a garden, rental home next door, and four kids, none of us have TIME to watch any television. We do watch a Netflix on some fridays and saturdays though.
If I had access to the History Channel, I'm sure I'd watch it, as well as some of the 'outdoor' hunting/shooting shows.
I see LOTS of patients who don't understand why "I just can't seem to lose weight", but when I ask them about exercise, they say they just can't fit it in to their busy schedule. After finding out they only work 40-50 hours a week, have no kids at home, and watch an average of at
least 7 hours of television per week, I just have to quietly roll my eyes and move on...
