OT-Gunshow Pleasures on the Cheap
Went to a gunshow a few days ago with a single bill in my wallet. Didn't really plan on spending anything except for the $6 entrance fee, but once I got in the door I was quickly surounded by those abundant sights and smells that make us gun nuts go crazy. Well, I spent all of the $100, pkus 10$ more, but I am still having a lot of fun with my two purchases all these several days later. The M44 Nagant has near perfect bluing, but the stock has a few dings. The bore is mint. Some say they're "fugly", and I guess so, but i can't wait to carry it around slung over my shoulder out in the boonies. The stag-handled stainless knife may be an import --- I'm not sure --- but it's hefty and feels real good in my hand. I love it. Anybody seen this brand of knife before?
Anyway, sometimes a few bucks can really peg the 'fun meter.'

Good lookin' blade.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Nice finds. No info on the knife but it looks like it would make a nice woods knife to go along with that M44.

AFAIK, The blade stamping is used by Frost Cutlery on their Bowie knives.
Someone might have re-handled a Frost with a section of deer antler they had.

Yeah, I agree, cheap high-powered rifles with great bores can't be beat!. Txpete asked to see a pic of the receiver, so here goes:

Very nice. Watch out or you'll catch the Red fever for those nagants if you aren't careful.
Fortunately though it's not an very expensive itch to scratch.
