That's a good price for that gun. I owned one of those for a while. They are beautifully built and very accurate. I installed a tang sight on the buttstock just aft of the receiver. Worked great! I paid $1000.00 for it four years ago, and sold it later for $1000.00. I had my eye on an original M.86 in 40/82 for $1000.00, worth $2500.00 now. I still have it.

I've got one of them. Shoots very well and looks great to boot.
It is my lucky rifle. I was lucky to get it for $400 about five years ago. :lol:

I hear ya - I paid $700 for a .45-70 M1885 Traditional Hunter, a few years back - complete with Marbles tanger, etc, NIB as issued by Browning.
