Welcome to the Leverguns.Com General Discussions Forum. This is a high-class place so act respectable. We discuss most anything here other than politics... politely.
Please post political post in the new Politics forum.
If you look at the "Who is on line" box at the bottom the page, it lists the user names of people who are on-line. I've noticed Google[Bot], or MSM[Bot] at times, maybe others. Just what are these things and what are they up to?

Any way you sell it,
No matter how you spell it,
When you start to smell it,
BO stinks.
There are some forums that show what sections individual members are in at any given moment. What annoys the heck out of me is when I see these stinking Bots in the profile section. They have NO BUSINESS there.
I have also had them hang up my computer at times when trying to get on other forums. It seems the forum pages couldn't load until the Bot was finished with what ever it was doing.
I also vote they be banned and blocked.

The Google and Yahoo Bots don't bother me....What you should be worried about are the DNC, Brady, FBI and CIA bots, who legally don't have to announce their presence, that keep track of thread subject Hot Words, then copy them verbatem..

Bots are necessary to the internet. They are the way that information is gathered. There is nothing bad about the ones you see as listed on a site.If there weren't bots then there would be no fresh information.Just cause you don't understand something is no reason to advocate it's banning.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

Stan is right.. without bots you wouldn't be able to find anything on the internet... if a person does a search for leverguns and end up on this site, it is because of bots pointing them in our direction. NO need at all to get worried about it.
As I write this post, the status is: Who is online
Users browsing this forum: Google [Bot], markinalpine, MSN [Bot] and 14 guests YIKES, I'm surrounded!
I appreciate the attempts at humor, and I appreciate being told don't worry about them, but I have to ask again, "What are they?" Do Google, MSN, and the others join this forum as members?

Anything you can find on Google or Yahoo search first has to be found by one of their bots..... No Bots, No Google I didn't know that a few months ago, either.

They ar ebigger than me, wave their arms around shouting stuff like "Danger, danger" and generally help the well known benign "Google" to find posts nobody using the forum search engine can find.
