OT-Prayer request and a thank you
First off the thank you...Guys, the loss of my pup last Friday was the most emotionally devestating event of my life since the death of my Father. I don't really understand why, it's not like I haven't lost dogs before...it just kicked my guts out, still tearing up today and miss him sitting in my lap. I'm still fighting a since of guilt that I didn't do enough for him, although I did every thing I knew to do. Anyway...although I had several good friends that knew of the situation with Duke that have called or come by to check on me, I found that this board is where I felt the greatest sense of understanding and compassion for both the dog and myself. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you don't know how much it helps.
Now I'd like to ask for a prayer request for my Sis. She was taken to the emergency room early Sunday morning with all the signs of a heart attack and later transferred to a heart hospital in OKC. Her BP peaked at 246/176 at the ER, scared the stuff out of me, before they got it under control. The doc at the heart hospital doesn't believe she had a heart attack, but the BP levels are in stroke city. Yesterday he believed he could get it under control and Sis would be coming home today. Sure hope so.
BTW...Saturday I prayed for peace of mind and something to take my mind off Duke. This was not exactly what I had in mind, but just be careful what you pray for.
Thanks again. You guys are the best.

Going out for you Rob! When it rains, it pours for sure. The Lord is always faithful and will sustain you. Going through similar BP issus with my wife but think things are under control now. God Bless you guys.

Update: Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts guys. Sis got to come home yesterday afternoon, no heart attack. They changed her BP meds and put her on one of those "if it taste good, spit it out" diets. I had told her she was getting a little "cheeky" in a backsided way.

If I said that to my sister I'd end up in a body cast!firefuzz wrote:Update: Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts guys. Sis got to come home yesterday afternoon, no heart attack. Nah, at the time I said it I was pretty sure I could out run her and she was to drugged up to remember later. Although my niece may tell her about it.2ndovc wrote:
