I'm not sure when they were introduced, but they're listed in 2001's catalog, but in 2002-2006 only the 9410 "Packer Compact" shotgun is listed.

It is a Winchester Model 94 AE push button saftey with a 1/2 magazine, 18 "non ported barrel, non checkered pistol grip stock and forend, black rubber buttpad, forend cap, folding rear leaf sight. W/ factory sligswivels. They were a bit higher than the standard 94's. Made in 30-30 and 44 Magnum. Maybe some other calibers? I found one reference to a Ranger version?? They do not seem to be easily found. I would enjoy knowing many were sold?

My 2006 Winchester catalog shows two Packer's, both 9410's (besides the standard 9410's) - one called the Packer with 20" bbl & standard stock, the other called the Packer Compact with 20" bbl & a shorter youth stock.
