Check this out. These pics are out of a 1884 Meachams catalog. (reprint from about 25 years ago) Yes, there were octagon Springfields, although they were alternations. Check out the prices on the '74 side hammer Sharps. :shock: Sure would be nice to take a trip back and snag some of those babies and put 'em on Gunbroker.--------Sixgun
