old 30as

Post by a357lever »

picked up from a very sick friend a marlin 30as 1987 vintage has a bushnell trophy 1.75-5 x20
the scope has a window on it for elevation i had to set it to 300yrds for 100 yard zero with lever evolution i wonder if you can take off the ele cap and adjust it, anyway i paid way to much for it but my friend needs money so i gave him 400 way high probably worth 300 but a friend in need.... the only bad part is the #$^*(^%$##@@ trigger its got to be 6+lbs but oh well. best 3 shot group 100y was 3" but i was hitting a 10"x12" steel plate at 200 yards. the hornady seems to fly well. good enough for deer hunting i'd say.

You did good for your friend. When your time comes you'll have at least one less regret! Seems you can still shoot that gun despite its problems. BTW, my boss man asks just about that much money for such a gun. It wasn't entirely out of line.

I don't like to criticize spelling and grammar but your free association post was a bit hard to read/follow. If you would please take the time to hit a period or comma key now and then it would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,

Hobie
