Mine have not yet reached the age of accountability, therefore they cannot act on their own, contrary to some of the anti-gunners thinking.

The overwhelming majority of my hunting and competitive rifles date from the middle 1880's to around the late twenties. My most accurate is a HiWall in 40-82 built in 1893. ---------Sixgun

My primary lever I bought new in 1992(first year of CB safety  ). It is the Big Bore 94 in 356 Win. I had previously had a 1970's Winchester 94 in 30/30 as a kid. My other 2 levers are: Australian marked BSA Martini Cadet in 32/20 from say 1911-13, and a 2007 manufactured Marlin 39a(actually my sons gun but it's up to me to make sure it works right  ).

Oldest lever is a '73 from 1881. Oldest firearm is an 1842 Harpers Ferry musket.

Newest is a 1895 .450 Marlin that I got for Christmas two years ago.

All save a couple are shooters. I happened across a '49 32 WS thats virtually new.... it stays in the safe.
That Savage is pretty nice and rare (oct .30WCF)... I'd hate to mess it up

stumbled across a '94 sporting rifle ...that gets shot ... I need a marbles stem for that.

My Winchester 94s date from 1898 as the oldest and the newest is ???? They are just about equal as to pre and post '64. The latest I bought was manufactured in 1976, then a 1972 and a rebuilt 1967; all purchased in 2006. All the rest were acquired between 1975 and 2004. Six, ranging from 1963-1982 are still in the process of being built. That doesn't count the lone '73 and three '92s (all reproductions).

Ha! You still 'da man Terry---In all truthfullness, I sometimes wonder about these posts also. Maybe we are bored and are looking for excitement or maybe the author wants to see who has the oldest guns so he can steal them. :D (just a joke Rhys.94.375 :D ) Did 'ya ever notice, the older we get, the less inquisitive we get. I'll take most any excuse to brag about my leverguns, and this is one.

1891 to 1999
3/4 are pre-64
1/2 are pre-WW2
1/4 are pre-WW1
1 is antique

I love them all equally and shoot every one of them.

With the exception of a 39 Marlin from 1938, and a 336 from 1957, the rest are all between 1881 and WWI.

Well I am kind of old and not real educated but I thought that a topic not marked OT and about LEVERGUNS would be all right to talk about so I'll say my oldest lever is a 92 32-20 from 1917. They go on up from 1941, 94 30wcf on to more 94 30-30's to an old Marlin .357 and a Interarms Rossi 92 .357

Congratulations on that very nice, old 1894 Winchester. You are fortunate to have one like that. In answer to Terry's query, when I was young I thought that newer is better, faster is better, etc. I learned different. 'Newer' has its place, no doubt about that. But there are some things that I like the old ways of, and old levers are one of them. When I get the chance to tell someone I shoot old guns, I do it, in the hope that they may start reconsidering the 'new is better' idea and begin to enjoy some old things instead.

Are talking age by when the parts were made or when they were put together?

Mine do have a slight difference in those ages. Some parts are pre 1902, but one was assembled last month. The one with a 1906 receiver hadn't been born (well, reborn) yet.
