New 250 grain Core-Lokt 338 Marlin load from Remington...

Post by Bogie35 »

Just saw it on the Remington website. A 250 grain Core-Lokt load for the 338 ME. MPBR of 200 yards.
That sounds like the real deal! I can't imagine a more versatile levergun/cartridge combination for big game.
I want one now!

Sounds good to me. When I got my .338ME I bought 6 boxes of LE ammo so I wont need any for a LOOOOONG time but good to know anyway. :D

I probably will never hunt anything larger than Deer with mine. The Elk and Bear hunters will find the 250 gr. bullet to their liking I bet. :D

I too like the MX. I wish they offered a 20" with full length mag though. I just like that look a little better.

Hurry up tax refund! ;)

Hey Ben. Their new website is pretty pitiful, but try this link:
http://www.remington.com/comparison.aspx

If that doesn't work:
go to "Products",
"Ammunition",
"Centerfire",
"Core-Lokt",
"Core-Lokt Centerfire" (link in middle of page)
"Specifications"
Scroll down to "338 Marlin Express" NOTE: It is NOT in proper numerical order

Ridiculous huh?

Anyway, I hope you find it!

Just under 2200 fps. Not bad . They really didn't make that easy to find.

That's great news for the 33 wcf shooters. Now we have several choices to choose from, assuming Rem eventually sells the bullets as components.

Dam I lost my post I made yesterday still new to the site.
I really hope they make that bullet in component form for my 33win I have a stock pile of 200gr Hornady's I paid only $8.00 a box for that's $8.00 CDN. It's a light wight 86 with a very thin barrel, and I toy with the idea of a .33win Imp I know it will kill the colector value but I will never sell it and I bet it would be just like my 71 in .348.
