OT: Hey KirkD! You left the door open...

Post by awp101 »

Here in North Central Texas it's 25F with a wind chill of 10F with winds from 25-35MPH. The weather folks tell us this air mass came from Canada so I figure someone left the door open...

Close that door please!

Kirk it is to cold to coyote hunt for about 3 days, sorry. :D The deer hunters have run most of them to the other ranches taking pot shots at them. There is not much sign around.

It's to quiet to sneak after fox here apart from the cold too! I'm itching to go after them though.

Hey! I left the door open hoping some of that warm southern air could get in here! :D Truth be told, I'm hoping for some colder temperatures so Lake Huron can hurry up and freeze over enough to go ice fishing for Lake Trout.

Guess it's time for the SoCal members to start canning the 70 degree temps and shipping them out :)

First law of thermo dynamics. Heat travels from warm to cold. We are not sending you cold, you are sending us heat. You can stop now. I really feel for folks that are not use to this. In eastern Canada where I am it is not very cold about 20 deg F. I have seen much colder this time of year and know how to deal with it, If you are not equiped or unprepared for the temperature, it can be very scarey. Keep warm everybody.

We're getting it too - low's in the mid-high teens and highs in the high 30's to low 40's. That's REALLY COLD for down here, where they still don't know how to properly insulate a house!

HA! Mudgunner has me beat ..... he lives further north than me, though at about the same latitude that I hope to be hauling in the Lake Trout in a few weeks over off Manitoulin.

I have been known to have the grill going at -10 deg F. No big deal just takes a tad longer. Just have to dress for the occasion.

Grilling at sub-zero temperatures is one thing. Bullet casting is quite another.

At least if your lead casting in those temperatures you don't need to worry about sweat dripping into the pot
