This Maryland buck was obviously not taken with one of my leverguns. But the hunt was very exciting for me.

Well done! Looks like you have venison laid in for your winter's supply.

I hunted in Hartford County. It's a deer management area with limited entry permits. Now that I've taken a buck, I must take three does before I can take another buck. Easier said than done because doe to buck ratio is approx 2 - 1. The rut is in full swing and bucks seem to be on the move more than normal. I arrowed this buck at 1PM.
Due to an unhealed elbow fracture, my Dr. filled out the Maryland state form to qualify me for hunting with crossbow. Many states do not require this type of form for crossbow hunting. Ten Point website has a link which shows current status of all 50 states and Canadian Provinces.
Thank you for the kind words.
