this is the biggest deer i've ever taken,and doing it with boolits that i've cast and loaded is the icing on the cake.add to that it was taken from my tree stand in my back yard,the only downside was the drag back in the dark.perhaps it's time to get a four wheeler,i'm getting a little long in the tooth.

Grizz has been breathing too much powder-smoke lately, so he 'sees' things the rest of us can't... :lol:

The REST of us would like pics of:
  • the deer
    the gun
    the bullets
    the reloading setup
    your wife or girlfriend
well....the last one is optional, I guess.. :roll:

Hmmm....

1894C + 180gr, if I'm not mistaken, must almost by definiton = .357 with a good cast boolit/Buffalo Bore load...

And yep. That will whallop a deer. :twisted:

sorry about the pics,it was a 25 yard shot more or less,the mold is a lee six cavity that i got over at cast boolits in a group buy last year.he was walking at me and offered me his right shoulder,it wasn't the shot i'd have prefered,but it was all i had.it looks like the boolit went through the lungs,and out the other side.gutting him out in the dark was a real pita,but i won't complain he looks to be 165 lbs m l but the drag in had me convinced he went over 300.
