Re: Hello the fire!
Thanks for the welcome. You fellas are gonna have to be real patient with me. I only found out about the 20th century about 6 months ago. I only got a couple pics and will have to figure out how to post them. It warnt real big, bout 650 but should be good eatin. Got it in district 14 for you locals. Kind of north central Maine. I tried one of those new fangled Model 71's in .348wcf. There's no need of that kind of power! Pure foolishness!

Never hunted moose, but we did have mice in the upstairs of our house during construction, and I had a full box of .22LR bird-shot and a new revolver....

Wow, doesn't seem like I can afford the dues, I've only got 1 pre-war SAA and my 86 is only a measly 45-90.

Old Windy,
Welcome to the fire! This is undoubtedly the best forum on the 'net; with the best moderators to keep it lively and friendly.
The range of subjects far transcends the title, as does the variety of expertise, experience, and interests here. But we have a common bond in the Levergun, and it seems to me that we have a great bunch of folks. Especially those who agree with my points of view!
You will see that there are different opinions from time to time, but our members gently chime in when somebody posts something that is wild or erroneous (like you might see on some shootin' and huntin' blogs); another reason that I spend most of my Internet time here for pointers, advice, and general entertainment. Better than most TV, for sure.
Glad to have you.

Thats all you need is one and I'm the "one". I really hope that '86 is a pistol grip deluxe. Is the SA Colt a 5 and 1/2" with blue and color? (my favorite)OldWin wrote:Sixgun,

Welcome to the campfire. With a handle like 'OldWin', you'll enjoy it here. Lots of fellows shoot old Winchesters in various and obsolete calibers, including myself.
