I'm going to save this post to show my wife. She think's I'm nuts for raiding the dumpsters of houses under construction in the neighborhood. Can't remember the last time I had to buy wood for a project! :D

Ysabel, those are the best! When I lived at home, I built an entire work shed from scrap picked up from the dumpster at a a new subdivision. Flooring, shingles, nails, everything.

One of my school friends always got his shoes from a dumpster behind Just For Feet. I kinda' draw the line at clothes myself...

I got a set of Peltor Tac-6 electronic ear muffs that way.

years back i went to throw something out at work one day and saw a set of muffs in the dumpster. I found a stick to try and fish them out with. I moved them a bit and saw what they really were and.... in a flash my @zz was in that dumpster! lol

Out new batteries in them and they worked fine. Go figger.

When I worked for Ames construction, they were always throwing good stuff away. Got some C.B.'s that worked just fine, and some other good junk. My garage rafters are plumb full of lumber waiting for a project. I can't pass up free lumber!
