That's too funny.
I take that advice literally. I don't wear bells on my toes and I don't carry pepper spray. I pack something big enough to take care of the problem so long as I do my part.

I just watched the video Doc put up. I can't believe people. I guess they can't help it. They're ignorant. The parks lady (who should really know better given her position) said we're not bear food and they don't eat pets. Well, I'll agree we're generally not bear food, but pets? If they can get a hold of it they'll eat it. Telling people it's something a kin to a harmless bird is insane. I just have to keep telling myself it's ignorance, it's ignorance, it's ignorance.
