OT: 2 Levergunners + 2 Kids Fishing today
Today it was my pleasure to host CRS and his Grandson on a fishing outing. Our 4 hour trip ended up being an all day event since we fished unknown waters and it took me the first 1/2 to figure out what/where/how. In all the boys caught a catfish each that we kept, 2 keeper Crappies, 6 Striped Bass and around 40 bream. Charles fishing gear holds up to his reputation. His guns don't work right, his camera don't work right, his fishing gear don't work right either. He's still good company though!

Sounds like time well spent. Nothing better than fishing with kids, as long as they catch enough to keep their attention. If they aren't biting the kids can really test your patience.
Happiness is a comfortable stump on a sunny south facing mountain.

Yes, we had a good time most of the time!
The boys were somewhat perturbed when a freight train went right over us.
We were tied up to one of the RR bridge piers where we caught most of our fish when the train went over and it was loud. After that, they frequently asked when the next train would be along.
86er was as busy as a one armed paper hanger manning the boat and trying to fish while tending to Brandon. Me, I just played at fishing and concentrated on keeping hooks baited and lines untangled.
We did stop at Big Daddys for BBQ and sweet tea afterwards and that made my day.
Soon as I rest up, I will be ready to go again.

I spent a lot of time fishing with my Dad when i was little.
I'm looking forward to when he gets home from his quest to sail around the world and
we can do simple things like go fishing again!
