Bisley hammers
Anyone out there ever install a bisley hammer in a vaquero or blackhawk. Is it a pain or not such a bad prodject.

The process is not too bad. The major issue is reducing the hump on the back of the hammer to allow it to fit in a non-bisley grip frame. I've seen most people just scribe the shape of the back side of the original hammer on the bisley hump and grind/polish it down.
I think Power Custom offers a drop in bisley hammer that fits all blackhawk models. It is a little pricey, but if you install that along with their trigger it would give you a half-cock loading option.

I found that it is much easier to just relieve the grip frame where the bisley hammer contacts it. In other words just file the hammer notch a little farther back.
That's what I did on these two.
