Hope does spring eternal!! There has sure been a lot of, should I say different posts on this forum today. Maybe it is just me, but it seems there has been a fair share of contention. Don’t misunderstand me. I think they have been great discussions with excellent points of view from all sides. It just seems odd it would be today. I have read and been a member of many forums. Without hesitation I must say this is the greatest one that I visit. You all are the most knowledgeable, helpful, and generous bunch I have ever had the pleasure to talk to.
I want to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. This especially goes to our Jewish friends at the time of Hanukah (hope I spelled it right) as well. May God bless you all and keep you in his loving care. Our best days are yet to come.

Dastook, it is a day to reflect on the scripture in Luke 2:14 "good will toward men". Thanks for the reminder.

The Constitution developed only because of Contention.

The Bill of Rignts was written specifically because of Contention.

Mankind does not and cannot learn and grow without Contention.

Which is probably why I am such a Contentious prig sometimes... and don't apologize for it.

Amen. I can be a contentious old poop sometimes, without thinking of the damage I might do to the Gospel. Merry Christmas and God Bless all of you fellas.

Contention. Interesting word.
Some people are contentious to "put down" another person.
Some people are contentious to properly correct another person.
Some people are contentious because they, well, love it!
Some people are contentious with you because, well, they love you!

Just because contention exists - does not mean contention will rule.
